About Your Instructor
Why learn from me? I'm a fiction writer and Scrivener coach. Before I switched to Scrivener, I wrote my stories in a different writing-specific software that didn't have the option to create a print-on-demand interior file. When I exported the file into my word processing program, it took me hours to set up my print formatting. Those were lost hours when I should have been writing! Once I switched to Scrivener, I was able to set up my print settings and save them to reuse for the next book. Such a time saver! I uploaded the files to my print-on-demand platforms (Lightning Source and Ingram Spark) and ended up with beautiful, easy-to-read print books.

What People are Saying About Me

SCRIVENER HAS ALWAYS BEEN ON MY BUCKET LIST...
...but I thought I would never find the time to learn it properly. Already this evening, I've written 2,000 new words in the brand new file we loaded up in Scrivener. I can actually do this now!
Sharon Hamilton (New York Times and USA Today Bestselling Author)
Vanessa is a fantastic teacher! She listened to what my concerns were and she addressed them all. She then let me practice what she had just taught me.
Scrivener is one of those things that many of us have taught ourselves how to use and there are far easier ways to use it. It was great to get a pro to show me just a few quick things to make my writing life that much easier.
I have been struggling reorganizing my novel in MS Word. If I bring it back into Scrivener with what you've taught me, it'll greatly reduce my anxiety. Really, Vanessa, Thank you.
